WHO ARE WE?
ELS is the newest political society on campus and we exist to promote the values of the Labour Party both on campus and beyond. We are proudly affiliated to Labour Students, Exeter CLP and the Students’ Guild.
WHAT DO WE DO?
With Labour in power both in Exeter and at Westminster, we have a great opportunity to make a tangible difference to students’ lives. We are currently running a campaign to Make Child Poverty History and fundraising for the TUC’s Iraq Appeal.
We host regular events and have already had visits from Roy Slack, the leader of Exeter City Council, Ben Bradshaw – our local MP, Harry Barnes (from Labour Friends of Iraq) and the GMB’s Stuart Fegan.
