EXETER LABOUR STUDENTS
Exeter Labour Students was reconstituted in May 2006, when our membership of the Guild Societies Association was ratified by the GSA Council. The Labour Party has an illustrious history at Exeter University, although you’d never know it.
Our Honourary President is the legendary actor, TV presenter and Labour activist, Tony Robinson, of Time Team fame and there are many other famous alumini.
The writer and Labour activist, John O’Farrell, studied here as did the current MP for Ealing, Acton & Shepherd’s Bush, Andy Slaughter.
One of Labour’s councillors in Exwick, Connel Boyle, was active in the Labour society during his time at University and has now gone to enjoy a successful career in the public service.
